THOMAS KNEUBÜHLER is appearing in Septentrional - Art et Nordicité. Also featuring works by Guido Van Der Verve, Frédéric Lavoie, and Alison McCreesh, the exhibition will be held at the Bang! centre d’art actuel’s Espace Virtuel in Chicoutimi, Quebec.
Septentrional - Art et Nordicité brings together the work of four artists who explore the peculiarities of the northern landscape. Included in the exhibition is KNEUBÜHLER’s Electric Mountains series, which captures the eerie nighttime illuminations of Quebec ski resorts in photographs that Canadian Art Magazine describes as “both ironically picturesque and seriously documentary.” The light of the ski hills allowed Kneubühler to capture a landscape that would otherwise remain hidden in darkness.
